Meet the Author, Rebekah

"What if our daily lives were so beautiful and satisfying that we didn't need vacations from them?

“It has always been my goal to live for a living, rather than work for a living and then pay people to do the things I don't have time to do for myself." Woniya Thibeault

Hi, I’m Rebekah, a cute little mama in central Idaho. I have a husband, Matt, and 6 wonderful children: Jonathan, Hannah, Dana, David, Joshua, and Kaylee.

My passion for health started as a mama. After health challenges during pregnancy, I learned to love fresh food and herbal medicine!

Since our big family’s small food budget didn’t allow for as much organic food as I wanted, I became a backyard homesteader. I took classes, worked with mentors, and gained certifications.

Now, I’ve built multiple food-producing systems on my homestead. I feel richly blessed by Mother Earth and her resources all around me, they’re like little love notes.

I wrote this book to inspire parents to grow, forage, or raise more food, in closer harmony with So-go-bia. I hope they come away from Gert and Nattie’s story, feeling that these skills are cost-effective, emotionally satisfying, and worth the time they take to develop and pass onto the next generation.

Thank you so much for your attention! I pray you have the BEST next adventure.

“May all be fed. May all be healed. May all be loved.” John Robbins
